Very high soot residue. I received a small Bolsius candle for Christmas and was really impressed so I ordered the large one. After several weeks of use I noticed quite a heavy soot residue building up on the walls to the extent that they now have to be sugar soaped and painted.I also took the candle into the bathroom and noticed all surfaces had a soot residue.As far as I am aware soot is a form of carcinogen and should not be breathed in and for that reason I cannot recommend this candle.
