Outstanding These are outstanding. Was recommended by our local stove shop, one gets our kindling alight in seconds and burns hot enough to light the whole pile. Great value box as well. It’s a bulk box, not several smaller ones, so you do need to have somewhere to put the big box. No nasty fumes or petrolium based smoke either, they’re just wood and a bit of wax to hold them together.

Very efficient fire lighters with no smell I thought these seemed expensive but thought I’d give them a try. There are 200 in the box and you really do only need one to light fire, so the box will last me over a year. They are made from natural products and there is no smell, unlike the usual ones which you need gloves to handle. I won’t be going back to conventional white smelly blocks. These are just sooo much better.

One less thing to think about. We have a wood burner at home and use compressed oak waste logs, they are very low moisture and when burning generate a huge amount of heat. The downside is that they need a concentrated flame for much longer than kiln dried logs to take initially. I’ve tried several different firelighters with mixed success and in the end resorted to using wax candle stubs with paper and some kindling. We bought the Flamers based partially on previous reviews and ratings and also because we knew…
