Our patented Cold Generator is a great little gadget that makes cold easy to do and affordable. Released in 2009 it is now used by top chefs, fishermen, hunters and “foodies” around the world to add a wonderful smoky flavour to foods such as fish (Salmon, Haddock, Kippers, etc), bacon, hams, eggs, cheeses, beef, venison, salami, butter, salt and nuts. The Cold Smoke Generator is designed to produce smoke for up to 10 hours, using smoking wood dust which is of a high quality and sourced from sustainable forests (other brands of dust may not produce the same results). Our original CSG is most effective in containers that have a capacity of between 30 Litres – 150 Litres – The Eco (33 Litres) and Frontier (105 Litres with 2 stackers) are ideal. If you have a larger container, consider the Artisan CSG instead.

Stay In The Cold For Best Results. I’m into curing and cold smoking certain foods. I have been using a large hot/cold type smoker for some years now, burning wood chips. It’s a bit of a waste of wood chips and time when you only want to smoke small amounts so when I saw this I decided to give it a try. I converted some of my oak wood chips into saw dust using my good lady’s ‘Vitra Mix’ food blender, but make sure your wood chips or pellets are very dry. If you use your wife’s blender be it on your own head, I’m not being…

Whether you use a large cardboard box or a purpose built unit, you can cold smoke all sorts of food to add new dimensions to your cooking.Making bacon is easy and delicious (put pork belly into a bag with some salt and sugar for around 5 -7 days in the fridge then rinse…

Good but expensive A super little thing. I place it in a closed BBQ overnight (during winter) with cheeses and homecured bacon. A shame it’s very expensive for what it is, but it’s the only thing like it on the market, making plenty of smoke for a very long period with almost zero heat.
