Has helped us identify birds – and we like its colourful face My sister has a clock like this, from which her dog has learnt to tell the time. At Barn Owl o’ clock (in the evening, not the morning) he goes to find my nephew and barks to tell him it is DINNER TIME! (Dog’s dinner time that is, not my nephew’s.)So, having a dog but no bird clock, we just had to get one.Four months later, our dog is still ‘learning’. He responds to the music at the end of The Archers (walkies), but not yet to the clock.But the clock is fine…

Lovely I bought my original clock in a hardware store and was bereft when I knocked it off the wall while doing work on the house. Landing on stone flags didn’t do it any favours. It broke the glass and a pointer but the little clock struggled on valiantly till I put it out of its misery. This seems to be the same make though the surround on the old one was lighter and the face was more of a cream colour.I prefer the old face but the sounds are the same. I love my bird clock – and I love seeing…

But it is tackily made – the space to put the batteries in is ridiculously tight, it is a real battle to get them in and out, and because it is such a squeeze, they are constantly trying to pop out.
