Really Good Oil I own a wooden case AMS clock and it decided to stop on me after 30 years of use. Easy to control flow and get it exactly where you … Easy to control flow and get it exactly where you need it. Quietened the strike mechanism on my 150 year old longcase clock and it keeps perfect time. Just use one drop though in the oil well otherwise if you use too much it runs out and pulls the oil away from the bush (this is the case with any oil). Not received in the blue pouch in photos as it should be for this brand so not sure if it is genuine is the only gripe hence 4 stars.

Very effective specialist product This arrived quickly and was easy to apply in the requisite small amounts. I had researched how to oil a vintage clock movement on the internet beforehand. The three key requirements seem to be to use only proper clock oil (like this), apply it only to the pivots, and only in tiny amounts. I removed the movement and gave it a basic clean with can of compressed air cleaner before oiling it. Nothing else was required to get it going again.
